Know how Insurance works!
Insurance works on a cashless basis.
Documents you need to carry with you to submit to the insurance department:
1. Patient ID proof (Aadhaar/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driver’s License)
2. Policy details (along with insurance card)
In case of group policy, employee ID card along with the above documents will be necessary.
It is always suggested to submit the documents during your counselling, to check the preapproved amount for the surgery suggested for you. Sometimes, even if one is insured, the quantum of approval depends on the policy and the company from which one is insured.
In case one needs to go for enhancement post surgery, we would like to draw your attention to the wait times for approval of enhancement which may be approximately 3-4 hours after surgery. Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated.
