I served as an Assistant Editor of Delhi Journal of Ophthalmology, the Official Scientific Journal of the Delhi Ophthalmological Society (May 2015- April 2017)

After completion of post graduate training in MS Ophthalmology in May 2013, I did my senior residency from Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi. During my senior residency besides practicing general Ophthalmology I have undergone subspeciality training in Cornea, Ocular surface and Refractive Surgery.

Biography 

I served as an Assistant Editor of Delhi Journal of Ophthalmology, the Official Scientific Journal of the Delhi Ophthalmological Society (May 2015- April 2017)

After completion of post graduate training in MS Ophthalmology in May 2013, I did my senior residency from Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi. During my senior residency besides practicing general Ophthalmology I have undergone subspeciality training in Cornea, Ocular surface and Refractive Surgery. Senior Residency has given me abundant hands on experience in performing cataract surgery (Phacoemulsification, SICS and ECCE, Scleral fixated IOLs) and the management of corneal diseases. I have had the opportunity to perform a large number of corneal transplants [performed over 100 Penetrating keratoplasties, triple procedures (PK with IOL)], Collagen crosslinking procedure, Pterygium excision with LCAT, Recurrent Pterygium and surface reconstruction procedures like Simple limbal epithelium transplantation(SLET) and Conjunctival limbal- autograft (CLAU). During my tenure I have learned planning of Refractive surgeries including LASIK, PRK and ICL and done few of them. I have assisted in plenty of lamellar surgeries like DALK and DSAEK and performed few 4 of them independently. I have also managed ocular trauma including lid laceration, corneo-scleral perforation and canalicular repair. Furthermore, I have gained handson experience in performing diagnostic procedures like OCT, USG, UBM, biometry, retinal laser and FFA during my senior residency.
