Dr. Sunitha M. N. Gowda

Dr. Sunitha M. N. Gowda completed her MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bangalore, and her MS in Ophthalmology from JJM Medical College, Davanagere, where she secured a University Rank in Ophthalmology. She subsequently obtained her DNB in Ophthalmology and underwent advanced fellowship training in Glaucoma at the Vittala International Institute of Ophthalmology (VIIO) and Prabha Eye Clinic & Research Centre, Bangalore. She brings extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmic disorders, with special interest in comprehensive glaucoma evaluation, medical and surgical management of complex glaucoma, optic nerve disorders, and neuro-ophthalmic conditions. She also has valuable international experience, having worked at Hull Royal Infirmary, United Kingdom, as a Specialist Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Glaucoma and Neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Sunitha has actively participated in academic conferences and has presented papers and posters at national and international meetings, including the World Glaucoma Congress and the Glaucoma Society of India (GSI). She has publications in reputed ophthalmology journals and is actively involved in community eye care initiatives, glaucoma awareness programmes, and medical education.
